Roderick Schröder

This tall and swanky upstart kicked off in 1993 with TV-production and soon went on to direct several tv-programs. The regular kind, lots of talk in studios, nothing special. But after music channel TMF hit the Dutch charts in 1995 he got the idea. And went on to produce and direct many music videos for now famous artists, such as Postman and Ilse de Lange. By then he felt the lure of abroad. A new and upcoming city, with an inspirational horizon: Barcelona. Moved there in 1999 and hit it off by directing commercials for Play Station, Pepsi, Suzuki and El Periodico (Spanish newspaper). And founded service production companies Somos and Czar Spain. Production is now his main feature.

He knows the city by heart. Knows its scenes through and through. And has broadened his horizon by working on feature films and documentaries. Roderick is an all-round filmmaker, who directs, shoots and edits. And is a producer that knows the heartbeat of the shoot and the conditions that make it tick.
